Styling for windy days

In Singapore & Mumbai, windy days are fun and we sort of look forward to it, some respite from the heat and humidity.

So styling for windy days is more like a wish list for styling. However this year we traveled to Austria and Switzerland and the weather was perfect amount of wind and cold, some bad days of rain 😦

In this post, I have kept in mind the regular easily available styles of layers like long jackets, ponchos, heavy cardigan. The fun is in colors and combinations.

In this (we start from left to right), the first one is a beigish pink long jacket paired with mustard treggings, loafers, and a nice bag. You can wear a nice bottle green/navy top inside. Since the jacket is simple in color, you can wear this with almost all colors.

The second look is denim and cardigan, wear a nice strappy top of any color or print, paired with sneakers and a fun bag. Wear bright red earrings & lipstick and you will rock this simplistic look on any day out or evening.

The third look is hot maroon pants with a block printed layer, printed shoes, and a formal black bag. Think day at work or some formal meeting, wear a white, beige or black shirt with this and you are sorted.

The fourth and final look is bottle green jeggings with a thick shrug in the same color, blocked with maroon shoes and bag and a printed scarf. Again bottle green is such a nice warm color that we can pair it with almost every color trouser or dress.

As far as the above picture goes, that’s me in Austria, wearing a sequinned jacket, paired with a black dress and knee-high boots. Oh and on windy days for amazing set of movie like pictures don’t forget to wear red on your lips 🙂
